Nutella has good news for people in the U.S. The brand said in May it will bring out its first new taste in over 60 years, called Nutella Peanut. Ferrero, who owns Nutella, said it "mixes the smooth taste of Nutella with the taste of peanuts." You will see it on store racks in the spring of 2026. The leaders at Ferrero say this new spread is key for their growth here.
"Our growth here has never been stronger," said Michael Lindsey, the head and chief of Ferrero in North America. "Making Nutella and Ferrero Rocher for this market marks a big point for us. These new ideas will reach old fans and more new buyers. That will help our top brands and make sure we stay a leader in North America."
What is maybe even bigger is that they may make this in the U.S. too. The Chicago Tribune said this new treat, which took five years to make, will be made in its Franklin Park plant. Ferrero will put $75 million into the plant and hire many new people to help make Nutella Peanut.
One thing you should know is this is not peanut butter. You will still get the Nutella taste of hazelnut and chocolate.
"We did not want just another peanut butter," said Seth Gonzalez, who handles Nutella's ads. "It is why cocoa is in it as a peanut-and-cocoa mix, not just peanuts. It is more for snacks in the day than for lunch, for one."
But this is not the only good news from Ferrero. The company also said it will sell Ferrero Rocher chocolate squares. "Each sweet bit has a thin shell, smooth inside, and bits of hazelnuts," said the company. "The types are milk, dark, white, caramel, or many kinds all in one." You will see these in shops in September.
